Privateness agency Proton suffered a large worldwide outage at the moment, taking down most providers, with Proton Mail and Calendar customers nonetheless unable to connect with their accounts.
The outage began at roughly 10:00 AM ET, with Proton customers unable to connect with their accounts, together with ProtonVPN, Proton Mail, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, Proton Cross, and Proton Pockets, as a result of networking points.
“Investigating – We are currently experiencing intermittent network issues affecting some of our users,” reads the Proton standing web page.
“We are working to fully restore services as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.”Â
Whereas many of the providers have been restored, Proton says that Proton Mail and Proton Calendar proceed to endure outages.

When trying to connect with ProtonMail, some customers nonetheless expertise error messages stating, “Something went wrong. We couldn’t load this page. Please refresh the page or check your internet connection.”
Replace 1:09 PM ET: Proton has restored connectivity to Proton Mail at 12:37 PM EST and BleepingComputer can verify that the service is restored.
Proton is now engaged on restoring connectivity to Proton Calendar.
Replace 3:04 PM ET: Proton mentioned all providers have been restored by 1:27 PM ET.
